Kan Yasuda a Pietrasanta “Oltre la Forma” June 14th to middle September, 2025
Pietrasanta, a town in northern Tuscany, where Michelangelo and many other sculptors sought out the marble of this region and produced numerous works.
It was in 1995 that the first exhibition focusing on a single sculptor was held in this town. It was an open-air sculpture exhibition of Kan Yasuda, who has been creating works in this area for many years.
In 2025, Pietrasanta will host the first Kan Yasuda “Oltre la forma” exhibition in 30 years.
The exhibition was announced last year by Mayor Pietrasanta, who said that 2025 would be the 25th Holy Year of the Catholic Church and an opportunity to share peace, harmony, tranquility, beauty and joy through art.
The exhibition will take place in various locations in the medieval city, such as Piazza del Duomo and Sant’Agostino Church, where more than 20 sculptures will be installed in response to their respective environments.
